Technically, the Blue Ridge range includes land available in Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee, West Virginia, Virginia, South Carolina, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. These states vary considerably in terms of laws and taxes, and even the various counties that make up the Blue Ridge communities can be radically different even within the span of a few miles.
